Superior Gateway Lodge was a dream come true for Joe and Pat Richter. The Richters have been building an occasional log home since they built their first log home in 1978.

 

Their son Luke grew up with an axe and chainsaw, so naturally he became a master craftsman. He used his skills to build this exceptional hand-scribed lodge for his parents. From personally selecting and harvesting the large White Pine logs, to final assembly he put his full heart into the project. 

 

Joe and Pat worked for over four years to finish the lodge.  The workmanship speaks for itself. 

 

A dream of mine was to run an AirBnB destination in my home state of Minnesota and was fortunate enough to purchase this wonderful property from Pat and Joe in April of 2021. We hope to continue the great tradition they established over the past two decades.
