Superior Gateway Lodge was a dream come true for Joe and Pat Richter. The Richters have been building an occasional log home since their first in 1978. Their son Luke, having grown up with an axe and chainsaw, had become a master at hand scribed log construction. He constructed this special building for Mom and Dad.  From personally selecting and harvesting the large White Pine logs, to final reassembly he put his full heart into the project.

The Richters wanted a log house that really represented what a log building could be.  Joe and Pat worked for over four years on making the lodge unique, yet relaxed.  The finished product speaks for itself.

Superior Gateway Lodge opened in the Spring of 2009.  Its natural setting includes a large pond and a spring fed Brook Trout stream.  For events, short term rental or a B&B getaway, this new lodge is your perfect choice.

It is the Richters desire to see this special place used to strengthen and restore family relationships.

Come and stay a while!
